Cohen, Hamish, Truckle, Boy Willie

I adopted these boys from my friend, Amanda, on July 14th, 2007. Her girls decided to have a "wild night out" -- they escaped from their digs, and raided the boys' dorm. A few weeks later, bebes! She actually ended up with three litters, which was around 30+ rats. Hamish and Truckle are from one litter, while Willie and Cohen are from the second. The third litter was born a week later, so they were not ready to "come home" just yet. Unfortunately, we don't know who the fathers are of each litter.

Once again, I had to pull out the themes again for names! These guys are named after The Silver Horde from Terry Pratchett's Discworld series of books. In short, they are a horde of elderly barbarians, and quite funny. The boys' full names are: Cohen the Barbarian, Mad Hamish, Truckle the Uncivil, and Boy Willie. I highly recommend the illustrated book, The Last Hero, which is a great story about the Horde, fantastically illustrated by Paul Kidby.
